WCHS sweeps final two area matches

White County finished up the Area 7-AAA regular season schedule Tuesday night in Cleveland, sweeping Gilmer County and East Forsyth. The Lady Warriors are 13-9 overall this season, and have a 4-3 record in area play.

Warriors fall on late field goal, 31-28

Things didn't go as planned for the White County Warriors during the opening week of the Region 7-AAA football schedule. Dawson County scored 17 unanswered points in the the final 18 minutes of the game to escape Cleveland with a 31-28 win.

Lady Warriors knock off Bluff, end East Forsyth's unbeaten region run

The White County Lady Warriors might be the hottest high school softball team in North Georgia. The Lady Warriors are currently on a eight-game winning streak and 20-3 overall heading in today's road matchup with West Hall.

The White County High School cross country teams competed in their biggest meet of the year last weekend in Canton, taking part in the Warpath Invitational. The meet featured more than 20 schools from around the northern half of the state.

Warriors set to open 7-AAA play

The first four weeks of the high school football season have been somewhat frustrating for the White County Warriors as they've stumbled out of the gate on the way to a 1-3 start.

WCHS falls to Bluff

The White County High School volleyball team came up a little short Tuesday night in key Area 7-AAA match with Cherokee Bluff. The Lady Warriors dropped a 2-1 decision to the Lady Bears, and fell to 2-4 in area play.

White County High School’s 2021 SAT scores have risen, according to data released last week by the Georgia Department of Education. The total mean score for students increased from 1038 to 1092. White County’s total mean scores in prior years were 1044 in 2019, 1076 in 2018 and 1051 in 2017.

Lady Warriors chase top spot in region race

With two weeks left on the regular season softball schedule, the biggest issue facing the Region 7-AAA teams might be the weather. Over the past week, most of the teams in region have had games postponed due to the wet weather, and this week hasn't started any better.

Lady Warriors keep pace in 7-AAA race

The White County Warriors stayed near the top of the Region 7-AAA standings with a pair of wins this week over Gilmer County and West Hall. The Lady Warriors (14-3) moved to 9-3 in region play with the wins, and currently sit in third place behind East Forsyth (13-0) and Cherokee Bluff (7-2).

Warriors fall to Raiders, 21-12

It was a frustrating night for the White County High School football team last Friday in Cleveland as the Habersham Central Raiders posted a 21-12 win in the final non-region game of the season, dropping the the Warriors to 1-3 on the season.
