The City of Helen will be conducting a smoke test on the sewer system in the Innsbruck Community for the next few weeks.
"If the piping in your home is properly vented, you should not have any smoke penetrate the inside," the city said in a notice on Monday, May 18.

Wreck claims life of Hull man

A single-vehicle accident in White County on Saturday, May 16, claimed the life of a Hull man.
According to Georgia State Patrol, Raymond Still, 59, was traveling around a curve southbound on Ga. 17 at mile marker 14 at approximately 12:30 p.m. when his motorcycle went off the shoulder of the road.

There have been 88 total confirmed COVID-19 cases in White County since the start of the pandemic, according to the 1 p.m. update on Friday, May 15, on the Georgia Department of Public Health's website. In White County there have been 19 hospitalizations and two deaths attributed to COVID-19.
