There have been 129 total confirmed COVID-19 cases in White County since the start of the pandemic, according to the update on Monday, June 22, on the Georgia Department of Public Health's website. In White County there have been 26 hospitalizations and four deaths attributed to COVID-19.

Pets of the week for the week of June 22 from White County Animal Control and Charles Smithgall Humane Society. Joker is a 1 ½ -year-old male lab mix who has been at the shelter since February. Joker is a wonderful guy who absolutely loves to run and play with toys, and loves cuddles as well.

WCRD announces Phase 2 of reopening plan

The White County Recreation Department will begin Phase 2 of reopening process at their county facilities Beginning Monday, June 22, WCRD will reopen their office from 7 a.m-8 p.m, Monday-Thursday, and  7 a.m.-5 p.m., on Friday, and 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday.
