GHSA relaxes restrictions, allows intra-squad work

The official start date for high school football, volleyball, softball, cross country and competition cheerleading is three weeks away, but whether or not there will be a 2020 season is still far from being decided.

A rabid fox in the Mountain Lakes area is the 12th confirmed rabies case in White County for 2020. According to White County Environmental Health Manager Sean Sullivan, on Monday, July 6, a victim got out of her vehicle and approached a residence.

Emergency crews locate two women missing overnight

Information from the Northeast Georgian    UPDATE: The women were just located at a store in White County and were taken back to the Emergency Services Command Post. Initial reports are they may have become lost and slept in a field overnight but both appear to be OK.     Around 2:45 a.m.
