White County High School junior Dasha Cannon picked up a big honor last week as she was named to The Georgia Athletic Coaches Association's All-State team.

The White County Warriors are in the market for a new basketball coach. Wade Mawdesley stepped down from the head coaching job last week, after spending the last two years in charge of the program.

Protocols added to protect public safety personnel from COVID-19

Local public safety agencies are adding steps to protect personnel during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. Cleveland Police Chief John Foster told officers at a March 16 gathering about precautions they can take to protect themselves from being exposed to the virus.

Schools close, keep working for students

Students won’t be returning to White County Schools until April. On Monday, Gov. Brian Kemp ordered all public k-12 schools and colleges to remain closed through March 31 to prevent further spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus).
