Decision day nears for city elections

Election Day is coming Tuesday. Early voting wraps up this week for the Cleveland and Helen municipal elections. As of 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 142 residents have early voted in the Cleveland election out of the city’s 2,312 registered voters. There are two seats up for grabs in Cleveland.

Five contested seats are on the ballot between Cleveland and Helen municipal elections, but early voting was off to a slow start about a week after it began. As of 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 19, only 79 residents have early voted in the Cleveland election, about 3.
