Seventh grade students at White County Middle School will be on virtual learning classes from Tuesday, Nov. 17 through Friday, Nov. 20, due to multiple new positive COVID-19 tests and precautionary quarantines. Students will return after Thanksgiving break on Monday, Nov. 30.

Presidential recount underway in White County

Georgia counties launched a manual recount Friday, Nov. 13, of the nearly 5 million paper ballots cast for the presidential election. White County began mid-morning as batches of absentee ballots were distributed among six tables, each with a team of two people assigned to review ballots.
The Christmas in the Mountains event will take place from 5- 8 p.m. in downtown Cleveland, with the parade starting at 7 p.m. and following its normal route from Jack P. Nix Elementary School to the Cleveland Square to White County Middle School.
