The City of Cleveland voted 3-2 to rezone the 10-acre property from B2 Highway Business to Planned Residential Development (PRD). Mayor Josh Turner broke a tied vote among the council members.

Ron Webb took an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America when he was 17 years old.
He had enlisted in the U.S. Air Force straight out of high school after receiving some advice from his uncle, who was an Air Force pilot.

City purchases former tax office from county

The city of Cleveland has some new real estate to potentially advance city operations.
The council members voted unanimously to approve the purchase of the old tax commissioner’s building at 113 North Brooks St. for $370,000.

Davis sues county

White County stuffed the ballot box.
There were 16,923 total ballots cast in White County for the 2024 election, giving the county a voter turnout of 77 percent.
