by Denise Etheridge White County News   A tradition that dates back to the  1800s when fire suppression     equipment was mounted on the back of a horse drawn wagon and had to be pushed back into a fire station bay by hand was continued by White County Fire Services on Monday.

Staff reports There’s plenty of Easter fun for families to hop around to in White County over the next couple of weekends. Saturday, April 12 Unicoi State Park will have an East Fun Fest from 10 a.m. to noon at the Bottoms at Smith Creek.

by Linda Erbele White County News   The White County jail has recently acquired a TEK 84 scanner that helps jail personnel identify any kind of contraband that an arrested person may be bringing with them into jail. “It’s a game changer for the sheriff’s office,” Sheriff Rick Kelley said.
