Society hosting program to honor Vietnam veterans

Empty Bowls to provide lunch, benefit food pantry

The annual Empty Bowls lunch will be 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, March 20 at the Sautee Nacoochee Center’s Community Hall. The event benefits the White County Food Pantry. Diners donate the amount they choose, select a bowl and enjoy a soup lunch.

by Linda Erbele White County News   The Cleveland city commission reviewed the first draft of an update to its future land use map at its March 6 meeting. The final map will become part of the city’s comprehensive 5-year plan.

Mt. Yonah celebrates reading with locally-grown author

by Samantha Sinclair White County News   Students at Mt. Yonah Elementary School got to meet an author who wrote a book with familiar sites during Reading is Fun Day on Friday. Laurel Hamby grew up in White County with a view of Mt. Yonah.
