Stellar at State

The White County High School cross country teams capped off the 2020 season with a solid performance last Friday at the Class AAA meet in Carrollton. The Lady Warriors came up with a solid effort throughout the lineup, putting all seven runners in the Top 70, to finish fourth in the team standings.

Search continues for missing Cleveland man

The search continues for a missing Cleveland man. Tam Thank Mai was last seen on Oct. 16 in the Helen area and was reported missing on Oct. 22, said White County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Clay Hammond. One search has been conducted for him, and another one will take place.

Storm damage hits thousands around county

The hurricane that became Tropical Storm Zeta caused widespread power outages last Thursday. The fast moving storm arrived Oct. 29 and left hundreds of thousands without power in Georgia, and thousands in White County.
