Townley to seek probate judge seat

Another candidate has announced plans to run for White County probate judge. Randall Townley says he is seeking the office because he wants serve. “That’s what brings me here – my service to the people and the way I’ve worked in the communities,” Townley said.

Josh Turner to run for Cleveland mayor

White County native Josh Turner plans to run for Cleveland mayor. He made a formal announcement Tuesday, Jan. 14., with qualifying for the special election set to begin in about two weeks. “I love my hometown. I’m invested in Cleveland’s success and I want it to be all it can be.

Warriors fly past Falcons in region matchup

The White County Warriors got a much needed region win Tuesday night with a 61-48 victory over Flowery Branch in front of the home fans in Cleveland. The Warriors pulled their record to 9-9 on the year, and improved 2-4 in 7-AAAA play, while the Falcons dropped to 0-17 on the season.

Lady Warriors win 10 in a row

It was time for the White County Lady Warriors to send to a message to the rest of the Region 7-AAAA basketball teams, and they did just that Tuesday night in Cleveland, handing Flowery Branch a 64-49 loss and moving into sole possession of second place in the region standings.
