Hurricane Zeta makes presence known in White County

Even though it had lost strength by the time it reached White County, Hurricane Zeta still made its presence known on Thursday, Oct. 29. On Wednesday, Oct. 28, a Tropical Storm warning was issued for most of north Georgia, including White County.
There have been 997 total confirmed COVID-19 cases in White County since the start of the pandemic, according to the update on Sunday, Oct. 25, on the Georgia Department of Public Health's website.

There have been 997 total confirmed COVID-19 cases in White County since the start of the pandemic, according to the update on Sunday, Oct. 25, on the Georgia Department of Public Health's website. In White County there have been 105 hospitalizations and 23 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

White County has seen its number of confirmed COVID-19 cases trend downward for another week, as statewide numbers tick upward. The Georgia Department of Public Health said Wednesday, Oct. 21, that the state’s seven-day average of new cases reported increased by 3.8% between Oct.

White County is nearing 1,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases. According to the Georgia Department of Public Health report on Tuesday, Oct. 13, White County had 961 confirmed cases since the first one was reported in mid-March. As of Oct.

A boil water notice has been issue for City of Cleveland water customers at the following locations: a portion of Westmoreland Road (East & West) Briarwood Dr, Shiree Dr., Shay’s Dr., Longview Dr., Independent Dr., Bald Ridge Dr., Jacob’s Dr., Oakridge Dr., The Pines Rd., Dutch Rd., Partin Rd., Biggs Dr., Mary Ellen Dr., Edna Dr., Lawson Rd., and Fairlane Dr, Friendship Road (at nursing facility).
