Warriors run well at Clara Bowl

The White County cross country teams got the high school season started last weekend with a trip to Rome for the annual Clara Bowl Invitational at Berry College.

Lady Bears open with two wins

The Truett  McConnell women's soccer team is off to a fast start, winning the first two games on the 2019 slate. The Lady Bears opened the season last week at the Jenna Bragg Tournament in West Point.

WCMS teams off to good start

Things are up up and running for the White County Middle School fall sports teams. The school's volleyball, softball, football and cross country teams have all opened the 2019 season.

Warrior runners make podium push

Last year, the White County High School cross country program made history at the Class AAAA state meet. For the first time in program history, the girls and boys teams both posted Top 5 finishes at the Georgia State Cross Country Championships.

Warriors prepared for start of new season

In nine days, the White County Warriors will kick off the 2019 high school football season.There are plenty of questions about the upcoming season, and the Warriors hope to provide some answers starting with the season-opening matchup with Lumpkin County.
A large contingent of White County athletes participated in the Special Olympics Georgia State Masters Bowling Tournament. last weekend in Warner Robins. White County had 12 athletes competing in singles competition, which included more than 1,000 athletes from around the state. The White County group brought home nine gold medals, two silver medals and a bronze medal. Warriors, Indians meet in Toccoa for scrimmage

Are you ready for some Thursday Night Football? The White County Warriors are, and they'll get a chance to get on the field tonight in Toccoa, taking on Stephens County in a pre-season scrimmage.
Last winter, the White County Lady Warriors put together the most successful season in the history of the school's volleyball program.

Past success sparks high hopes

Last winter, the White County Lady Warriors put together the most successful season in the history of the school's volleyball program. The WCHS squad put together a 20-12 run during the 2018 campaign, finishing third in the 7-AAAA tournament and earning a spot in the Class AAAA state tournament.

District 7 Pickleball tourney this weekend

The Georgia Recreation and Park Association District 7 Pickleball Playoffs will be held this weekend at the White County Recreation Department complex. The district tournament kicks off Friday, Aug. 9, with play concluding on Sunday, Aug. 11.
