Turner named 7-AAAA Athletic Director of the Year

White County High School athletic director Craig Turner has been named the Region 7-AAAA Athletic Director of the Year.

Lady Warriors sweep at Beach Bash

The White County High School varsity basketball teams spent a few days in Florida last week, competing in the Beach Bash Christmas Tournament in Panama City, Fla. The WCHS teams played three games in the event, which featured more than 50 teams from around the Southeast.

Warriors drop region matchup

Chestatee handed White County a key 7-AAAA loss Tuesday night in Gainesville, using some long-range shooting skills to knock of the  Warriors 63-57. The Warriors dropped to 1-3 in region play and 6-6 overall with the loss, which snapped the team's three-game winning streak.

Lady Warriors stay hot

The White County Lady Warriors picked up a key region win Tuesday night in Gainesville, knocking off Chestatee, 53-37. The win was the fourth straight for the Lady Warriors as they improved to 7-5 overall and 3-1 in 7-AAAA play.

Warriors hold off Spartans for region win

The White County Warriors went on the road Tuesday night in search of their first 7-AAAA win of the season. The team found what it was looking for at West Hall, handing the Spartans a 63-54 loss.

Lady Warriors roll past West Hall

The White County Lady Warriors came up with their biggest offensive performance of the season Tuesday night in Oakwood in a 79-44 win over West Hall.The Lady Warriors (4-5) improved to 2-1 in Region 7-AAAA with the win, while West Hall dropped to 2-6 overall and 0-2 in region play.

Haynes selected to GACA All-Star game

White County quarterback J. Ben Haynes will spend some time on the football field during the Christmas break after receiving an invitation last week to the GACA North/South All-Star Classic. The game will be played Sunday, Dec. 29,  at Denmark High School in Alpharetta.
