Warrior teams set to play for MFL titles

A trio of White County teams can finish off the youth football season in style Saturday at White County High School. The Mountain Football League will host it's annual Super Bowl extravaganza at WCHS this year, with championship games in six age groups beginning at 9 a.m.

Run to the finish

For the sixth time since 2012, the White County girls' cross country team posted a Top 5 finish at the Georgia High School Association's State Cross Country Championships. The Lady Warriors pulled off the feat again last Friday in Carrollton, finished fifth among 32 team in the Class AAAA division.
The Georgia High School Associaton's reclassification report was released Tuesday.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. If you're a White County High School athlete, coach, administrator, parent or fan and you've  seen the Georgia High School Associaton's reclassification report, which was released Tuesday, you probably understand what the first sentence means.

Danes end Warriors' playoff plans

For the second year in the row, the White County Warriors suffered a heart-breaking loss to Denmark. But unlike last year's loss to the Danes, the Warriors' 28-21 loss last Friday night knocked the Warriors out of the playoff hunt.

Playoff run ends

The White County Lady Warriors' post-season run came to an end last Saturday in the Class AAAA quarterfinals. The Lady Warriors (24-14) dropped a 3-0 decision to No. 9 LaFayette in an Elite Eight matchup. The trip to the Final Eight was a first for the Lady Warriors' program.

Lady Warriors look for podium spot

For the ninth year in a row, the White County girls' cross country team will be making the trek to Carrollton for the Georgia High School Association's cross country championships. The Lady Warriors will toe the start line at 9:45 a.m.

Warriors smack Spartans, 42-0

Homecoming is supposed to be a night to celebrate, and the White County Warriors made sure there was plenty to celebrate as they blasted West Hall 42-0 to pick up their first 7-AAAA win of the season.

Time for stretch run

After back-to-back losses to a pair of state-ranked teams, the White County Warriors got a chance last week to catch their breath, heal their bodies and prepare for the final four week stretch of the regular season.
