Warrior teams set for final stretch run

The final stretch of the regular season is here for the White County High School basketball teams. After a night off from the region schedule on Tuesday, the WCHS teams get back on the court Friday for the final home games of the 2019-20 campaign, taking on Chestatee.

Football schedule reflects new setup

For Tim Cokely and the rest of the White County Warriors' football program, the 2020 season can't get here fast enough. The Warriors, along with the rest of the WCHS athletic teams, will have a new home next year, dropping down to Class AAA for the first time since 2013.

Warriors drop region games to BT, Marist

The White County Warriors dropped a pair of Region 7-AAAA games to Blessed Trinity and Marist over the past week, and head into the stretch run of the season needing to find some wins to improve their seeding heading into the region tournament in February.

The middle school basketball regular season is almost over, and the White County Middle School teams are preparing to play for Mountain League titles next week. The WCMS finish off the regular season today, taking on Dawson County in four games.

Warriors fly past Falcons in region matchup

The White County Warriors got a much needed region win Tuesday night with a 61-48 victory over Flowery Branch in front of the home fans in Cleveland. The Warriors pulled their record to 9-9 on the year, and improved 2-4 in 7-AAAA play, while the Falcons dropped to 0-17 on the season.

Sullens third at Hook' Em Clash

The White County High School wrestling team got in some holiday work last weekend at the Hook' Em Clash at Lambert High School in Suwanee. The traditional tournament served as part of the Warriors' preparation for the Region 7-AAAA Duals tournament Saturday in Alpharetta.

Lady Warriors win 10 in a row

It was time for the White County Lady Warriors to send to a message to the rest of the Region 7-AAAA basketball teams, and they did just that Tuesday night in Cleveland, handing Flowery Branch a 64-49 loss and moving into sole possession of second place in the region standings.
