White County High School’s industrial maintenance program has received a boost from the Cleveland plant of Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies.
Company representatives presented a check for $57,630 to the White County Board of Education at a media event at the high school on Thursday, Sept. 26.

Anthem, NGHS contract expires

After months of negotiations, the contract between Northeast Georgia Health System and insurance provider Anthem expired Tuesday, Oct. 1, meaning many NGHS facilities are now out-of-network for Anthem customers.

Authorities looking for driver of multi-county car chase

Authorities say they are looking for Christopher Fraizer, 31, of Cleveland, who is alleged to have led authorities in a multi-county car chase on Monday, Sept. 30.
White County Sheriff’s Office deputies attempted to stop a white Buick Sedan at approximately 9:30 p.m.

If you see a lot of law enforcement at White County High School on Friday, Oct. 4, don’t panic – it’ll only be a drill.
The White County School System, in conjunction with multiple public safety agencies, will be conducting an active intruder drill at WCHS from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Charges pending in fatal accident

Charges are pending in a fatal three-vehicle accident that occurred today that involved a 92-year-old Cleveland man.
The accident occurred at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Alt. 75 at its intersection with John Head Road, according to Cpl Josh Hedden with Georgia State Patrol Post 6.
