Clarkesville one of four state COVID-19 vaccine mass sites to open

by Beau Evans Capital Beat News Service Georgia officials have launched a new website to pre-register for COVID-19 vaccine appointments and are poised to open four mass vaccination sites in different parts of the state, Gov. Brian Kemp announced Thursday.

In high school basketball, it's hard to beat a good team three times during the season, and unfortunately for the White County Warriors that proved to be true Tuesday night in the Region 7-AAA championship game.

Helen plans to bring back Fourth of July fireworks

Fourth of July fireworks are returning to Helen – at least for the moment. After not being held in 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic concerns, the Helen City Commission voted Feb. 16 to hold the firework showcase this year.
