There have been 88 total confirmed COVID-19 cases in White County since the start of the pandemic, according to the 1 p.m. update on Friday, May 15, on the Georgia Department of Public Health's website. In White County there have been 19 hospitalizations and two deaths attributed to COVID-19.

TMU adds lights to outdoor facilities

White County will have a new sheriff in 2021 following the retirement of Neal Walden. Five candidates are running for the office: Aaron Autry, William Garrett, Rick Kelley, John Murphy and Jeff Ramey.
