Lady Warriors ready to get back on the court Saturday

Last Wednesday, the White County Lady Warriors were coming off the biggest off the biggest win of the season after knocking off Dawson County in the 7-AAA region opener.

After an unexpected week off, the White County Warriors got back on the court Tuesday for a 7-AAA showdown with North Hall.

Cleveland residents arrested as part of drug bust

Four Cleveland residents were among the suspects arrested following a year-long, multi-county investigation of alleged drug trafficking. The Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO) announced on Dec. 9 that the arrests made throughout North Georgia.

As the year ends, the coronavirus cases in White County continue to rise. White County has had 270 confirmed cases so far this month, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health report on Tuesday, Dec. 15. There were have been 1,605 total confirmed cases during the pandemic.

Runoff election opens with rush of early voters

Early voting for the runoffs may have just started Monday, but over a thousand people have already cast ballots in White County. Chief Registrar Lisa Manning said 1,244 people had voted as of 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15. She said there haven’t been any problems so far despite being busy.
There have been 1,571 total confirmed COVID-19 cases in White County since the start of the pandemic, according to the update on Sunday, Dec. 13, on the Georgia Department of Public Health's website.

There have been 1,571 total confirmed COVID-19 cases in White County since the start of the pandemic, according to the update on Sunday, Dec. 13, on the Georgia Department of Public Health's website. In White County there have been 158 hospitalizations and 28 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
