Pets of the week for the week of Oct. 12, from White County Animal Control and Charles Smithgall Humane Society. Cher is a one-year-old female Siamese mix with the cutest orange tipped tail! Cher is a little shy, and needs someone she can trust, but loves to be talked to, and enjoys pets!
A boil water notice has been issue for City of Cleveland water customers at the following locations: a portion of Westmoreland Road (East & West) Briarwood Dr, Shiree Dr., Shay’s Dr., Longview Dr., Independent Dr., Bald Ridge Dr., Jacob’s Dr., Oakridge Dr., The Pines Rd., Dutch Rd., Partin Rd., Biggs Dr., Mary Ellen Dr., Edna Dr., Lawson Rd., and Fairlane Dr, Friendship Road (at nursing facility).

Charges are pending in two vehicle wreck that involved a motorcycle and car on Wednesday, Oct. 7, and resulted in two people being injured.

Charges are pending in a two-vehicle wreck involving a motorcycle and car on Wednesday, Oct. 7, and injuring two people. According to the Georgia State Patrol, the wreck happened around 7:30 p.m. at Ga. 115 and Town Creek Road.

White County government employees received a Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) beginning in October. The county Board of Commissioners approved a 2.5% COLA raise at a Sept. 28 work session and called meeting. The additional estimated cost of the pay increase from its effective date on Oct.
